With just $1,500, you can fund over 200 home-delivered meals for homebound seniors, ensuring they receive essential nutrition and a safety check with each delivery. Alternatively, that amount can provide more than 400 meals at congregate senior-center sites, where seniors can gather, share experiences, and enjoy nutritious food together. As donations increase, so does our ability to serve even more seniors in need. For every $2,500 donated, our programs can deliver an astounding 714 meals, while a generous $5,000 can extend our reach to over 1,428 meals, impacting the lives of many seniors in Las Vegas.
How we vet recipient partners
We take pride in partnering with organizations that meet stringent accountability standards and federal guidelines. We focus on Area Agencies on Aging-contracted providers and members of the Meals on Wheels America network. This ensures that our partner organizations adhere to the Older Americans Act Title III-C nutrition standards, maintaining high quality and effectiveness. Furthermore, we select programs that demonstrate no waiting list or a minimal waiting list, indicating a reliable source of funding and service capacity.
How proceeds flow
When you donate your vehicle, approximately 70-80% of the gross auction sale proceeds reach our partner programs after towing and processing costs are deducted. These proceeds are then allocated according to the program ratio, ensuring that your contribution specifically supports senior meal initiatives. This means that your donation has a direct and measurable impact on the service we provide to seniors in need.
